The contract for the consultancy
services for the construction supervision
of the Upgrading Access Road (UAR),
Lamidanda – Melamchi (Pul Bazar) road
(22 Km) was signed on 11 May 2008
with Sustainable Infrastructure Development
Foundation (SIDeF)-TAEC Consultant
P. Ltd (Joint Venture). The services
has been commencd since June June
2009.
This component of the access road
is scheduled to finish at the end
of fiscal year 2066/67 (2010) at the
latest.
Scope of Work
Supervision of UAR works is regular
and ongoing under main activities
as follows:

Supervision of
survey works carried out by the
contractor; |

Preparation of detailed drawings
of road works and structures(culverts,
drains and walls); |

Pegging out and demarcating
construction limits |
|
Quality control and material
testing; |
|
Assistance to the Employer/
contractor in land acquisition,
community issues/dispute resolution; |
|
Certification of Interim Payment
Certificates; and |
|
Monitoring and supervision of
environmental migitation executiion
plan, occupational health and
safety management plan etc. |
