The main objective of the resettlement
program is to address the social impacts
and ensure the successful restoration
of living standards, income earning
capacity and production levels of
project-affected households.
The major scope of resettlement includes:

Provide compensation
for loss of land and other assets
by working closely with the Compensation
Determination Committee at the
District level; |

Prepare a database of the affected
persons/households and their socio-economic
attributes; |
|
Determine rehabilitation and
other entitlements for those severely
affected; |
|
Assess resettlement impacts
in areas identified for land acquisition;
|
|
Monitor effective delivery
of resettlement entitlements;
|
|
Provide orientation to those
involved in the delivery of resettlement
entitlements; and |
|
Provide other necessary inputs
for successful implementation
of the resettlement plan |
